Chasing Amy
She's faster than a speeding bullet, has a better chin than Mike Tyson, and has looks that kill. "Who's that girl?" you ask. It's Amy Weber.

Men can seem a little conflicted at times. They want a woman who is soft, sensuous, and feminine. On the other hand they can’t stand “typical chicks” who don’t know what a touchdown is and spend all day worrying about their make-up. They want a woman who is easygoing, down-to-earth, yet can pound a few beers with the boys. The problem is that they’re dreaming of a woman that doesn’t exist. Or does she?

Amy Weber strikes me as a woman who comes as close to meeting this standard of perfection as any woman I’ve come across. She grew up on a farm, so she’s not afraid of spiders. She even grew up racing motorcycles. And while she may be tomboyish on the inside, she is ALL woman on the outside. But I don’t think you need me to tell you that.

Your career has spanned countless magazine covers, and roles in everything from Melrose Place to Adventures of Joe Dirt. With such a diverse plethora of projects under your belt I won’t even speculate on what’s next.
I recently completed my first season as the new star of Son of the Beach and I revamped my official website, www.amyweber.net. I also have a Miramax film coming out in the spring called You’ll never Weaz starring Pauly Shore, and it has about 30 cameos from people like Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit and Snoop Dogg.

Most of us Latinos are brown because of our indigenous heritage. You’re Native American yourself. Tell me a little about your ethnic background.
My grandfather was Native American and he was from the Chawktah tribe. I regret not asking more questions before he died. He was so wise and peaceful.

Were you conscious of your background growing up?
I wasn’t really conscious of it because I was in the Midwest and I didn’t really feel any different from any other kids. I always had a nicer tan!

Is your heritage something you’d like to explore more?
I would definitely like to know more about my heritage. I am proud to have come from a people that were the first to inhabit this land.

You grew up on a small farm in Illinois. What was that like?
It was fun. I would play in the cornfields all the time and my mom could never find me. That all ended after I watched that scary movie Children of the Corn.

Did your father put you to work out on the fields?
Everyone has to do his or her part on a farm, but it instills such a sense of work ethic and is always a part of you—and that I like.

So between feeding the pigs and pulling an ox you dreamed of becoming an actress and cover girl?
I guess part of me knew that it was possible. I was always entertaining people anyways, so why not get paid for it!

It sounds like you were a bit of a tomboy growing up since I’ve heard you raced motorcycles as a little girl. How did you get into that?
My dad thought that he was having a boy, so when I came out I think he still tried to raise me as a boy.

Did boys resent you beating them at motorcycle racing?
Boys always resent it when girls beat them at anything. Little boys are the worse. I even had a kid go so far as to ram his handlebars into me which flipped me and my bike end over end a couple of times. Everyone thought I was dead. Luckily, I only sustained a couple of bruises.

But there must have also been cases when the opposite happened and some of your competitors developed crushes on you.
There was too much competition going on for any of that. They resented me, I think, which would have cancelled out any attraction.

Do you ever ride anymore?
It is really too dangerous to ride in L.A., but I did ride a Harley for a commercial a few years ago and if you could have seen the faces of everyone when I jumped on the bike and drove off.

So who’s tougher a farmhand or a Hell’s Angel?
My Dad knew quite a few Hell’s Angels so I can say firsthand that Hell’s Angels are tougher than anyone.

One of our recent cover girls said she’d like to have a menage-a-trois with Matt Damon and Tom Cruise. What two guys would you pick if you were to (hypothetically) have a threesome?
I would have to say my ideal threesome would be to clone my fiancé. When you finally find someone who is perfect for you, no one else could match up.

Boooo! That’s not the answer we were looking for. Oh well, next topic, I guess. Is it true someone once broke your tooth while you were shooting an action scene?
Oh my God! How do you guys find out about this stuff? Yes, I was shooting a TV show and the guy was supposed to do a Hollywood slap and he punched me instead and connected. I truly believed that he had broken my nose and my tooth.

So did he pay for your dental work?
Actually the show was responsible for it. I was sitting there with a broken tooth and blood in my mouth and the guy who did it to me wondered why I was making such a big deal about it.

Speaking of fights, you sound like a fairly tough girl. Have you ever gotten into a fight with a girl?
I was forced into a fight with a girl in high school who shoved me. She thought her boyfriend was looking at me. She shoved me from behind so my natural reaction kicked in and I punched her in the throat. She never shoved me again.

What do you consider your biggest strength?
My brain.

What about your biggest weakness?
My heart.

What would you most like to be remembered for once you’re retired and living in Florida?
Oh God, I lived in Florida for a while and it would take a heard of wild horses to drag me back there! But seriously, I would love to be remembered for my drive, my compassion for others, my fighting strength and the unconditional love I give to those in my life.
