Elika Crespo, the singer/actress with enough sex appeal to power a small city.

There are beautiful girls that you can look at, appreciate for a moment, and then forget about forever. Then there are the ones that captivate you—completely. They’re the ones that you just can’t stop looking at. Just staring at them, admiring them, taking them in brings a sense of joy and pleasure. And their allure exceeds simple carnal desires. Pamela Anderson may inspire copious amounts of lust, but how many guys would honestly want her for more than a wham-bam, thank you ma’am?

A woman like Elika Crespo is what I consider a true beauty. Her beauty hypnotizes you, draws you to her. It makes you want to know her and appreciate everything about her. We think you’ll agree with us, which means you will (hopefully) read what she has to say here…after spending plenty of time staring at her photos of course.

You acted on Kingpin, what was that experience like?
It was fun!!! Although the director named me “Gorgeous Babe”—and my trailer even had that name on the door—I was embarrassed and preferred to be called “Hit Woman.” But it became a joke on the set, and I just had to suck it up. I guess there are worse nicknames, and it was all harmless. Everyone on the set was a pleasure to work with.

The show generated quite a bit of attention, were you surprised the show wasn’t picked up?
Very surprised. I think everyone was disappointed, both the viewers and the entire production. You never know with these things!

Latinas like Jennifer Lopez have helped shift the American standard of female beauty towards a more voluptuous direction. Do you still feel a lot of pressure to conform to the Caucasian standard of beauty, which is more tall, pale, and skinny?
I’m glad Jennifer was able to break the mold. What ever happened to individuality? I modeled for a few years while I was going to school in Miami. I hated it because I love to eat! I think the malnourished look is unhealthy. Some of these girls look like they need a cookie and a hug. It’s disgusting when society determines individuality. I maintain myself at a healthy weight, exercise regularly and once in a while eat french fries, pizza, and Häagen Dazs. I would hate to be 80 years old and look back at my life with regrets and reminisce on how I used to eat celery for dinner. Give me a break!

You’re a very beautiful woman with a look that might best be described as exotic yet familiar all at once. Is there anyone people compare you to a lot?
Thank you! Before hearing my Miami accent (believe me, there is one) people might think I’m from Italy, Puerto Rico, or Venezuela. I can’t say there is a certain person I’ve been told I look like, but I’m open to suggestions.

I’ve heard a lot of beautiful women say they get tired of constantly having to deal with the advances of men? How do you feel about this?
I think it’s flattering when a man gives you a compliment, as long as it’s respectful. I’m old-fashioned when it comes to that. I appreciate compliments and never take them for granted.

When you’re not interested in someone, do you prefer the direct, “get lost” approach or the “act nice even though you don’t like them” approach.
I think being nice is always the best way. You never know if a good friendship can develop and you missed out by giving them the “get lost” approach. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy…unless they’re vulgar, then I just ignore them and walk away.

What’s the easiest way for someone to tell that you’re attracted to a guy?
My eyes. The eyes never lie.

What exactly do your eyes do when you see someone you like?
If you spend enough time looking at a person’s eyes you can tell where they’re coming from, what they feel. It’s one of those: it takes one to know one things.

What do you consider your three strongest qualities?
I’m extremely organized, I have a big heart, and I’m a clean freak—which can be a bit overwhelming sometimes.

What are a man’s three most important qualities?
I strongly believe that the initial attraction determines whether or not you talk to someone and certain qualities determine whether or not you remain interested. For me those are 1) having strong family values, 2) being a good son, and 3) being respectful.

What would you most like to be remembered for once you’re an old lady sitting on a rocking chair?
All we have left of yesterday are memories. I would like those who know me to look back and reminisce on the moments of laughter we shared and have great stories to tell my grandchildren.
