She is now using that global success (as I write from England I can tell you that she also has an immensely high profile in Europe) to diplomatically raise issues & educate others about her culture which non-latinos take on board and which enlightens them; and some latinos find inspiring. She is doing it with humour and with a little sassiness but a lot of honesty and grace. It's such a tough job to be true to yourself and your culture and people outside your culture in this industry - so why not just give her some respect and affection for that. The LA Community should be proud of her. Not just latino - but Jew, Gentile, Muslim etc etc too.
