Flor Bermudez is the kind of gift that you’ve always wanted, but perhaps seldom receive. Well, Merry Christmas, Feliz Cumpleaños, y todo lo demas! We’re here to give you the gift of this bella flor.
But while this Nicaraguan beauty is probably the best Christmas present any man could receive, she’s acutally better suited for the summer. She’s hot enough to turn a white Christmas into a wet one. But get your mind out of the gutter, we say that because she’s proven to melt all snow within a one-mile radius of her. Her sizzling looks aside, she really is the down-to-earth, girl-next-door type who enjoys time with her family. She’s as wholesome as apple pie—or should I say homemade tamales—thus making her the girl you’d be proud to show off to your buddies, but can also bring home to mom. Just make sure your mami never gets a look at these photos.
You’re Nicaraguan. Are there any major differences between Nicaraguans and other Latinos?
Well yes. I think the culture, the food, the language is spoken differently. I also think that Nicaraguan parents are a lot stricter, especially the ones that come to the U.S. with their children.
Is there anything unique about Nicaraguan women?
No. I think Latinas are all strong women. I don’t really think there are strong borders that separate us. We all have the same goals in life.
You mentioned Nicaraguan food being different. Besides you, what’s a good Nicaraguan dish?
There’s naca tamales, which are pretty sweet. Some good soups with fresh vegetables. But I really grew up on a lot of beans, rice, and tortillas.
I know that you’ve been shooting for a variety of different magazines and projects recently. What’s the most exciting shoot that you’ve been on?
It has to have been with you guys. You weren’t stiff about everything. [Editor's note: actually there was quite a bit of "stiffness" at the shoot thanks to Flor.] It was kind of like, just be yourself. Be a Latina. I didn’t have to be anybody else that day. Usually when you do a photo shoot you’re trying to portray somebody else, but that day I was just me.

What’s the best Christmas gift you’ve ever given?
Some hot, hot loving!
Aiiii mamacita! That’s not bad, and much better than getting some Kmart socks. So what is Christmas like around your house?
Christmas is all about togetherness in our family. We just want everybody to be in the same house all together. If we can’t all be there then we’ll go out and visit everybody. It’s really not about giving presents in our family. It’s just about being together.
So it sounds like you’re the type of woman who knows how to take care of her man.
Of course I do. Otherwise they’re going to go somewhere else!
Don Suave would say you are a very wise woman. You have a lot to offer a man. What do you expect from him?
Honesty, compassion, affection. I can’t stand people who lie. And I love men who aren’t afraid to show public displays of affection, men who are not afraid to hold your hand or give you a kiss in public. Or a man who just likes to spend quality time with me.
How do you handle men that throw themselves at you?
I throw them back! I’m an aggressive woman, and if I say no then that means no.
What kind of things do guys say to you to try to impress you?
“Oh baby, I’ll buy you whatever you want, just talk to me,” or, “Do you like jewelry? What do you want for Christmas, or blah, blah, blah.” But it doesn’t mean anything. You can’t buy love or someone’s affection. But I guess there are a lot of guys out there who think that’s the way to a girl’s heart. But it’s really not.
If you had to choose, what would you prefer a macho man or a mama’s boy?
I think a mama’s boy.
I heard Playboy hired you for a rather unique modeling assignment.
I was hired to be a nude body-painted model. A famous body painter came in and body painted about ten of us. I was painted as a modern showgirl, which was one of his new designs. It was a job that night, but it didn’t feel like a job. I walked around, passed out jello shots, and just hung out having fun. It was just a lot of good food, drinks, and mingling and dancing with everyone. It was so much fun. It was crazy.
So you didn’t feel uncomfortable walking around with absolutely nothing but body paint on you?
No. I thought I was going to be uncomfortable, but as soon as I saw the other girls I felt a bit more comfortable. And as the night went on, I actually felt like I was wearing clothes.
You must have witnessed some interesting things that night.
Well one of the guys from Malcolm in the Middle was there. He had some big, tall lady rubbing her boobs in his face. I thought it was the funniest thing. This woman with big boobs was basically suffocating him.
Was he going after her, or was she coming after him?
No, she was going after him!
I’m sure he didn’t mind too much.
No, he didn’t.
