Who's the Bosse?
Patricia Bosse is the kind of woman men dream of conquering. The problem is she is also the kind of woman few—if any—can conquer.

PHOTOGRAPHY Matthew Mitchell

The first time I saw Patricia Bosse she knocked me on my ass. Before you decide that I’m a weak chump who gets manhandled by women, let me explain. I was watching Fox Sports World’s Extreme Sports when I witnessed the most delectable Latina I had ever seen in my life on the TV screen. She was having the time of her life risking her life and all I could think was: WOW! I literally had to sit down to take her in. It’s not just her unbelievable looks that blew me away. She exudes the kind of positive energy and personality that you can’t fake—you either have it or you don’t.

Her nickname says it all: Vida. Since leaving Fox Sports World, Patricia has gone on to Univision (where she has done both Control and Caliente). She continues to live life to the fullest and is definitely going places. Will she become a huge star? I don’t know. But I do know that whatever she does she’ll do it with passion and a smile. And that, mis amigos, is worth more than the fame or fortune.

What’s the latest and greatest with you?
As we speak, my craziness has endeavored into a clothing line. It’s called Hippie Chick Style and it’s been more than I anticipated, but definitely very rewarding. The response has been amazing.

How did you get started with that?
It was a crazy dream I had…fashion has always been one of my passions.

How did you get started in entertainment?
I started out working for Anheuser-Busch…they proposed that I be an international spokesperson…I got to go to many places and meet many different people and being in that arena I was exposed to Fox Sports World and they offered me a job for an extreme sports show. I did anything and everything you can imagine: rappelling, river rafting, surfing the reefs of Puerto Rico, and you name it. For me, seeing the world was a dream come true.

My mom wasn’t too happy about it. She’d see me hanging off cliffs and say, “What are you doing!” I’d be like, “living, mom, just living!”

Based on your personality and everything you’ve done you strike me as a very independent woman. Do you consider yourself an old-fashioned girl or a modern, liberated woman?
I’m a Gemini so I’m definitely both, an old-fashioned girl and a definitely liberal woman. I think the combination is essential for a woman. You don’t want to be too wild or extreme and forget who you are as a woman.

Which would you rather have on your man, a hairy chest or a beer belly?
Oh God! Um, a hairy chest. At least I’d have a good coat for the winter. That’s better than a belly that gets in the way.

Guys love women who are into sports. What sports are you into?
I’m so athletic it’s pathetic. I LOVE tennis, but don’t take me to a tennis match because I’m the most uncouth fan. I’m all cheering as though I were at a football game or a boxing match. And I’ll wear the most extreme outfits.
I also love basketball and soccer, but tennis is my number one.

What’s your idea of a dream weekend getaway?
I would love to go to Barbados, have a massage, drinks on the beach, and sunbathing, just like Adam and Eve, in your birthday suits. I’m all about human nature baby, and I love life and I think that we should be free, carefree, without any inhibitions.

A lot of women think men are dogs? What do you say, are we dogs or not?
No, not at all. You get what you give.

It sounds like you’ve never been cheated on?
No. It’s all in the ingredients, you make your own stew.

What would you say about dirty talking in bed, thumbs up or thumbs down?
Oohhhh baby! Thumbs up, God dammit!

You’re an extremely beautiful women, so you must certainly have a lot of men approach you. Do you get hit on a lot or do you find that most men are intimidated by your beauty?
Yes, it’s true that men get intimidated by beautiful women, but I really am a people person and no matter who they are, what you are, what you’re wearing I really like the human contact. And I’m not bullshitting you at all, it’s the truth. Most of the time I can be an intimidating person because of the way I carry myself. I am a strong person, but I really just humble myself by always making human contact and allowing people to say as they wish, as STUPID as it may sound sometimes. It’s like damn man is that the best you can do. [laughs]

But to each his own, we’re all different and I definitely open myself to everyone, anyone. It’s beautiful, no matter what the compliment is, you know, we’re only young once. Those kind of compliments will vanish one day and you’ll never hear that beautiful echo of someone’s soul.

Have you found that men of ethnic backgrounds are more aggressive?
Yes!

Can you rank them?
Italians— boy, they want to marry you on the spot. Latinos want to ravish you; they want to eat you up like a sweet red cherry. The French want to allure you, mystify you. Asians: very mysterious, very debonair and tactful. Americans: they are intimidated in a way and they’re pragmatic, kind of innocent. For me they’ve been little puppies.

What about black guys, do they mack harder?
Oh man! Heck yeah, they’re just like, “Hey baby! Come here baby.” They want you to sit on their lap and tell them a Santa story. It’s crazy, it’s totally entertaining for me. It’s like dude you’re a cartoon…it’s just wild. A little too aggressive for me. But it’s interesting, I love all the colors nonetheless.

Do you have any odd skills?
Oh, man…I do, but I can’t . I’m going to get in trouble because it’s too sexy!

Christmas is right around the corner. What do you most want from Santa?
I want to free my voice. I want to release my new song, share my music. I’ve been recording and I have a self-titled single called Vida, which is my nickname.

Words of advice for America’s Latino man?
Free your soul. Be free and truthful. Don’t hold back. Always feel from your gut and just let it fly.
